Asahi Precision Co.,Ltd.

Asahi Precision, founded in 1964, is located in Kyoto, Japan. We have been helping our customers and developing a lot of new plating technologies to meet their plating requirements for over 50 years. In 2013, we developed new plating technology, SOLBLACK that is used for KAGRA Project(click here to see more details about KAGRA (jump to ICRR GW group page.)). SOLBLACK has good specification for vacuum or low temperature. If you have difficulty of the vaccum condition, our products is good for help! work contents Metal Plating:
  • hard chromium plating as functional electroplating
  • electroless neckel plating, errof of film thickness is 1 micrometer. Lead-free since October-2005.
  • hard, black, white anodisation
  • copper-plating, Ni-chrome plating, etc.
  • blacking treatment, special surface treatment, non-adhesive treatment(TECHNOMIGHT, RESISTAC, TECHNOPHOS)
  • Ni-W alloy coating of acid resistance and high corrosion-resistant (NIWLOY96)
  • black electroless blacking Ni plating (PHOSBLACK) is lead-free since October-2005.

History of our group

1948 Asahi Kinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. was established.
1964 Asahi Kinzoku Seiki Co.,Ltd. was a spin-off from Asahi Kinzoku Kogyo Co.,Ltd.
1965 - 1974 Manufactured fuel measuring equipments of HORIBA to comply with exhaust emissions regulations during Japan's rapid economic growth priod.
1975 - 1985 Manufactured semiconductor manufacturing equipments and designed of aeronautical devices.
1992 Asahi Precision Co.,Ltd. which name was changed from Asahi Kinzoku Seiki switched to the integrated production of general industrial machinery and equipment.
1996 developed and commercialization Ni-W alloy coatings .
1997 licenses technology to AIROD in Mlaysia.
started to consulting of the plating process and equipments.
2000 HIGHBLACK, thin black plating, was commercialized.
2001 developed FINE CHROME.
developed jointly a heat-treatment furnace prototype with OSAKA Gas.
2002 to maintain continuous environmental management activities withing each organization, we have implemented ISO14001(BVQI).
2004 licensed our technology, PHOS BLACK II to HEEANG TECHFLON CO.,LTD in Korea.
2005 developed lead-free plating chemicals for PHOS BLACK III
2008 developed and commercialized NIWPHOS
2009 developed and commercialized NIWPHOS II and RESISTAC II.
2012 We have developed SOLBLACK then commarcialized after trial SOLBLACK. SOLBLACK was adopted to plating for the parts of HONIR producted by Hiroshima Univ.
SOLBLACK was adopted to the surface treatment on the dousers and the parts of the KAGRA's Cryostat.
